Beaches

I love beaches!!! I love the sounds and smells of the ocean. I love listening to the seagulls squawking as they look for food or are just flying. I love watching the pelicans flying and then dive bombing into the ocean to get a fish or how they bob on the water with the ocean waves. I find that I am more centered when I'm at the ocean and able to look at things in my life more clearly. It amazes me the clarity that I find at the beach and am able to work through problems or set goals.

I am reminded that God is in control and how small I am in comparison to the ocean. I see God's fingerprints everywhere when I'm at the ocean. I am reminded how God takes care of all His children in their need for food, shelter and clothing. I feel closer to God there than anywhere else. It's my favorite place to write my poems due to this feeling of closeness.

I believe it is this love for the beach that has saved me from the people in my past that tried to destroy me. I also believe that although I know that there are evil people, monsters or whatever you want to call them that I can see the good in people, my heart has not been hardened by the people of my past. God has used the beach to show me that although there is a predator instinct that there is also great beauty. The beauty can be seen in the sunrises, sunsets, shells and the beauty of the colors in the ocean.

I know that everyone needs a place where they feel peace in this world and close to God. It is my wish that everyone finds that place.
